"I write to give reference for the existing steel frame alterations / modifications, new build steel structure, feature canopy and cold rolled works carried out by Coventry Construction Ltd. (Cov Con) at the St Margaret’s Gateway scheme (SMGS)

 

It has been noted that CovCon’s employees and supply chain partners had been committed to aiding us achieve a positive outcome on what was a very challenging project. 

 

From pre-construction to completion of the works, it was noted that CovCon worked alongside the wider design team, to help guide and steer practical solutions for the final design of the works. This also extended to aiding the cladding subcontractor complete their specialist feature canopy sub frame design in line with the architects vision.

 

Owed to the ongoing sensitive nature and negotiations of the project I am unable to state the details of the challenges faced, but I can note MS and CovCon have delivered the scheme despite the challenging programme and interfaces with the existing frame.

 

CovCon responded positively to changing conditions on site (daily changing interfaces with other subcontractors), had been efficient in dealing with changes throughout programme and amicable when dealing with the effects of the same. 

 

I can say that the robust knowledge and experience profile of CovCon and the employees, provides confidence when faced with particularly challenging refurbishment / alteration works. 

 

I would happily suggest the use of CovCon and will continue to engage with them on coming project (subject to competitive tendering). "
